Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team.
As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining patient records.
Although experience with medical billing is highly valued, we encourage those without experience to apply as well.
Duties:
- Review and verify accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information - Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, CPT) to procedures and services - Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail - Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resolve billing issues - Process payments from insurance companies and patients - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic systems - Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding - Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding guidelines Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9), and billing procedures - Strong knowledge of medical office operations and electronic health record systems - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes - Ability to analyze and interpret medical documentation - Strong communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers - Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively Job Type:
